GeoScreening is a geoscience consultancy based in Oslo, Norway. The work brings together applied geophysics, GIS, remote sensing, LiDAR, photogrammetry, terrain analysis, scientific data processing and monitoring.
Projects can span the technical chain from dataset review and survey design to processing, quality control, modelling, interpretation and spatial delivery. The emphasis is on methods that suit the acquisition, site conditions and question being asked.
Applications include archaeology, environmental studies, engineering, infrastructure and research. Technical work is informed by applied research, with the focus kept on reproducible methods and usable results.
OUR APPROACH
Work is grounded in applied geophysics, spatial analysis and scientific data processing. Method selection starts with the physical measurement, acquisition geometry and project question. The aim is to retain useful information and make the limits of the result explicit.
Geophysical observations are placed in their geographical context alongside GIS, satellite imagery, LiDAR, terrain models and photogrammetry. Consistent coordinates and documented transformations make surface and subsurface results easier to compare and use together.
Magnetometry, GPR, ERT, earth resistance and EMI each require a method-specific approach. Geometry checks, quality control, correction and modelling are selected to fit the dataset. Survey design and acquisition context inform the work, including legacy and non-standard configurations.
Automated ERT monitoring and custom web-based data systems connect acquisition, processing, QC and review. Long-term records, time-lapse comparisons and technical diagnostics support the study of changing subsurface conditions. Configuration and reporting are agreed for each installation.
Processing steps, assumptions and relevant parameters are recorded. Quality control precedes interpretation. Observations, model results and interpretations remain distinguishable; uncertainty is communicated where it affects the use of the deliverable.
The conversation starts with your data and the result you need. A technical review defines feasible outputs, scope, timing and price. Client data are treated confidentially and are not used as public examples without permission.
