GEOSCREENING / Services
Data acquisition
Professional field data acquisition for geophysics, mapping and spatial documentation. Survey design, positioning, field QC and deliverables are defined around the site and project objective.
FIELD SERVICES
Measure the site.
Build the dataset properly.
GeoScreening can undertake field acquisition when a project requires new measurements rather than processing of existing data. The method, survey design, positioning, field quality control and data handover are agreed before mobilisation.
Quotation only. There is no fixed field-acquisition price list. Each campaign is quoted after reviewing the method, location, survey extent or profile length, required density and resolution, site access, mobilisation, positioning requirements, permissions, field conditions and requested processing or interpretation.
METHODS & APPLICATIONS
Field acquisition
matched to the question.
A field campaign is designed from the expected target, required resolution, physical property, site constraints and the deliverables needed afterward.
Magnetometry
Archaeological prospection; mapping of buried ferrous features and infrastructure; environmental and geological investigations; research surveys. Acquisition geometry can be designed for single- or multi-sensor systems and the required spatial resolution.
Ground-penetrating radar (GPR)
Archaeology and cultural heritage; utilities and service corridors; engineering and ground investigations; architecture, buildings and structural documentation; concrete, void and layer investigations; snow, ice, permafrost and research applications.
Electrical resistivity tomography (ERT)
Geotechnical and engineering investigations; hydrogeology and environmental studies; landslides, embankments and dams; permafrost and cryosphere; archaeology; repeated and long-term monitoring. 2D, 3D and time-lapse layouts are designed to the project question.
Earth resistance & EMI
Archaeological prospection; shallow soil and moisture contrasts; environmental mapping; conductivity surveys; site characterisation and research. Survey grids, line spacing and sensor configuration are selected for the required scale.
Drone photogrammetry & spatial imaging
Topographic and site documentation; archaeology and cultural heritage; architecture and built heritage; construction and infrastructure documentation; terrain change and volumetrics; geomorphology and environmental surveys. Ground control and RTK / GNSS can be included where required.
LiDAR, 3D documentation & survey control
Terrain and surface documentation; architecture and heritage recording; infrastructure and construction; detailed site models; point-cloud acquisition; GNSS / RTK control, survey grids, profile locations and georeferencing for integrated projects. The platform and instrumentation are confirmed during quotation.
Marine geophysics & magnetometry
Marine and nearshore magnetic or geophysical acquisition; archaeological and environmental investigations; infrastructure and research applications. Navigation, positioning, tow geometry and vessel or platform requirements are defined during quotation.
Remote sensing & imagery acquisition
Selection and acquisition of suitable satellite scenes or image datasets, and drone-based image capture where appropriate, for environmental monitoring, land-cover analysis, change detection, terrain context and research. Commercial imagery and licensing are quoted separately.
Integrated multi-method surveys
Archaeology, engineering, infrastructure, environment, architecture and built heritage, research and complex site characterisation. Complementary methods can be designed around one coordinate framework so the resulting datasets can be processed and interpreted together.
FROM FIELD PLAN TO DATASET
A field campaign
with a clear technical chain.
Acquisition is planned with processing, spatial integration and final use in mind.
Technical review & method selection
Define the target, depth, resolution, site constraints and whether one or several methods are appropriate.
Survey design & positioning
Set profile or grid geometry, sampling, coordinate control, reference points and field documentation before acquisition.
Field acquisition & QC
Monitor acquisition quality, positioning and instrument behaviour so issues can be identified while the survey can still be adjusted.
Data handover, processing & interpretation
Field data can be delivered as acquired or continue into GeoScreening processing, modelling, GIS integration and specialist interpretation under the agreed scope.
Field acquisition is subject to location, access, method availability, required instrumentation, permissions, safety requirements and practical feasibility. Any regulated certification, clearance or statutory survey requirement must be agreed explicitly and is not implied by this service description.
